BioCatch responded immediately to the terrible massacre on October 7. The fraud protection company set itself the goal of assisting the massacre victims and other vulnerable populations. With the understanding that vulnerable populations and populations in distress are much more exposed to physical and psychological harm throughout the war, the company made a significant financial donation of over 1.5 million Shekels to aid organizations, including "Heros for Life," "Amcha," "NATAL" and "Matan." The donation focused on supporting various vulnerable populations and on actions such as cleaning and fixing up bomb shelters for the safety and protection of residents of underserved neighborhoods in cities across Israel.
The company also understood the great emotional difficulty during this period, and the collaborations also focused on assistance in this field, enabling them to provide emotional assistance to more than a thousand Holocaust survivors, who were experiencing anxiety due to horrible events in the south, educational assistance to the children of evacuees' families, and emotional assistance to the many trauma victims.
Along with the significant financial contribution and voluntary cooperation, the company's employees also actively participated in volunteer work. Volunteering in agriculture, assisting Holocaust survivors in need, cleaning and utilizing bomb-shelters, donating laptops to children evacuees and many other efforts were among their activities.
As the trauma of october 7th has affected every Israeli, BioCatch has made it a prioprity to ensure that employees of the company are also supported physically and emotionally. Some of them were drafted into the reserves, as were their spouses. Management ensured the employees were given full flexibility in their work while maintaining a sense of community and mutual support. A number of group sessions were held on resilience-related topics, and emotional support was available from professionals.
“The emphasis on giving our staff tangible ways to help the community is highly beneficial and even therapeutic. We couldn’t do anything about the attacks on October 7th, but we proved to ourselves that we were not helpless. Our office became a unified community that was, and still is, focused on helping the communities affected by the war.״ Says Noa Mindlin, Human Resources Director.
