Bria secures $40 million Series B to scale licensed AI content platform

The startup’s platform ensures businesses can create on-brand content with full IP licensing transparency.

Bria, which has developed an enterprise visual generative AI platform, has secured $40 million in Series B funding, bringing its total capital raised to $65 million. The funding round, led by Red Dot Capital, with participation from Maor Investment, Entrée Capital, GFT Ventures, Intel Capital, and In-Venture, marks a significant milestone in the company's mission to address one of the most pressing challenges in the AI industry: intellectual property (IP) rights.
Founded with a focus on transparency, Bria aims to bridge the growing accountability gap between generative AI systems and the businesses that use them. As concerns about AI’s potential to infringe on existing IP rights mount, Bria's platform seeks to offer businesses a way to generate on-brand content while ensuring full compliance with licensing regulations. The new funding will accelerate the expansion of Bria's visual generative AI platform, which enables businesses to develop high-quality, branded content with no risk of copyright violations.

The heart of Bria’s offering lies in its patented attribution engine, which connects the generative AI output to its underlying dataset, ensuring that data owners are compensated for their contributions. The platform, which is trained exclusively on licensed data, already boasts over 30 data partners, including Getty Images, Envato, Alamy, Freepik, and Depositphotos. By drawing inspiration from models used in the music streaming industry, such as Spotify, Bria’s approach offers a transparent and fair method of sharing revenue generated from AI-created content.
"Enterprises can use our source code and API platform to integrate visual generative AI into their products and access previously untouchable premium branded content," said Dr. Yair Adato, Bria's founder and CEO. "By expanding our attribution model to encompass all types of content, we are helping to create a sustainable creative economy."
Since its Series A funding round in March 2024, Bria has strengthened its position as a leader in the responsible use of generative AI. The company has formed strategic partnerships with major technology players like Nvidia, Microsoft, and AWS, and earned accolades such as AWS Design Partner of the Year.
