How Justt is saving merchants from fraudulent shoppers

“Take a situation where you are a cardholder, you go to a website like Macy's and you buy a pair of shoes,” explained Roenen Ben-Ami, Co-Founder and Chief Risk Officer at Justt, a chargeback mitigation platform. “In the end, those shoes get to your address and you have, as the cardholder, the ability to go to your issuing bank like Bank of America and actually dispute that transaction. It means that Bank of America will return the funds to you and then Bank of America posts a chargeback in the network, either Visa or Mastercard, and the entity that loses the funds is actually the merchant - Macy's.”
Not everyone is so familiar with the process of a chargeback, but Justt is helping merchants who are victims of fraudulent behavior from shoppers. Thanks to industry word of mouth, the company has grown its employee headcount from just a few to almost 200. “We expanded very quickly and it's been an amazing ride until now,” he concluded.
