Incredibuild appoints Shimon Hason as CEO
Hason, who previously served as Corporate Development Lead at Datadog, replaces Tami Mazel Shachar, who served as CEO for the past five years.
Incredibuild, a provider of acceleration technology for software development, announced on Monday the appointment of Shimon Hason as its new CEO. Hason replaces Tami Mazel Shachar, who held the position for the past five years and will be continuing her role as a board member.
Hason brings over 20 years of experience in management, business development and technology leadership at leading companies in the DevOps space. In his most recent position, he served as Corporate Development Lead at Datadog (traded on Nasdaq at a value of over $40 billion), after serving as CEO of OzCode until it was acquired and led to the establishment of Datadog’s Engineering Center in Israel. He previously founded the startup Intigua- JetPatch, currently owned by a private equity fund.
Hason’s appointment comes after an important strategic move by Incredibuild, with its acquisition of Garden, a DevOps acceleration product. Incredibuild paid approximately $65 million for the German company last November. Concurrently, Incredibuild initiated a layoff process, reducing its workforce in Israel by 18 employees, about 11% of its team, while hiring employees for the acquired company’s team.
At the end of 2023, Incredibuild had previously gone through a layoff round, letting go dozens of employees. The company currently employs around 150 people globally. Incredibuild operates branches in Israel, the USA, China, Japan, and Ukraine and has raised $55 million to date from investors including Hiro Capital, Insight Partners, and Fortissimo.
"I’m thrilled to join Incredibuild, a company dedicated to empowering developers by accelerating software development at a time when speed and efficiency are more critical than ever," said Hason. "As AI reshapes the industry, the demand for advanced acceleration solutions continues to grow—and Incredibuild is at the forefront, helping companies optimize performance, maximize resources, and bring products to market faster.
"With a strong focus on innovation, global expansion, and delivering value to our customers, we will keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in software development. Backed by our talented team and cutting-edge technology, Incredibuild is set to lead the way in accelerating development like never before."
Tami Mazel Shachar, outgoing CEO of Incredibuild, stated, "The software industry is evolving rapidly and the need for innovative solutions that enable efficient and rapid development is growing constantly. I believe that Shimon, with his experience and skill set, is the right person to drive Incredibuild forward."
