Granit Sharon, Founder and CEO at Monimmo, spoke to CTech about the surprising benefit of choosing an untraditional initial market for her AI marketplace company.
“I don't speak French, so it was a little bit challenging, but I always have people speaking French helping me,” said Granit Sharon, Founder and CEO at Monimmo. “It's a different culture and in Europe, every country is a different culture... But I have to say at the same time it was fascinating to discover an amazing world and to discover very interesting people, a completely new market.”
Monimmo is an AI marketplace primarily for the European market starting with France with hopes to expand in the future. It supports local buyers and sellers as well as international investors by providing data insights when users buy a house.
“My startup is for the European market, so it's always surprising,” she continued. “I studied in New York and lived there for many years, the U.S. market was much easier. And there are opportunities also elsewhere so it was a surprise that we chose this market. But I think you should go not where it's easier or more convenient, but where the challenge and where the success can come from.”
