New VC fund Vinthera to invest tens of millions of dollars in Israeli tech
The Europe-based fund is anticipated to invest tens of millions of dollars in Israeli funds and startups in growth stages through collaborative investments with other funds
Former co-founders of Blue Future Partners and Revel Partners have joined forces to launch a new venture capital fund named Vinthera.
The new Europe-based fund plans to operate in a wider context than traditional VCs or fund-of-funds (FoFs) and is aiming to deliver the best of two worlds by investing into venture funds, as well as making direct investments into their best performing portfolio companies.
The new fund was founded by former Blue Future Partners founding managing partner, Philipp von dem Knesebeck, and serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Revel Partners, Thomas Falk.
The fund's geographical focus includes the United States, Europe, and Israel. Among the founding team is Raviv Sapir, an Israeli who has resided in Germany for the past few years. Sapir will serve as the fund's representative for investments in Israel. The fund is anticipated to invest tens of millions of dollars in Israeli funds and startups in growth stages through collaborative investments with other funds.
Past investments by the team in Israel include Grove Ventures, Angular Ventures, Oryzn Capital, and the cloud data storage company Firebolt.
