“Users have almost zero tolerance for your mistakes,” Keewano warns gaming studios
Dima Karger, CEO at Keewano, joined CTech at Gaming 2024 to discuss the expectations gamers have today and the pressures that are put on studios.
“You have much more competition and the users have almost zero tolerance for your mistakes,” said Dima Karger, CEO at Keewano when asked about how the gaming sector has changed over the years. “This is one side. On the other side, the new technology and the new approaches allow us to create a completely new genre of games. So we can give much more to the users than we ever could but our users want everything, and they want everything amazing tailored for them.”
Keewano joined CTech at Gaming 2024, a conference hosted by Calcalist in collaboration with Google and Playtika. The company is only six months old and was established to help gaming studios with a new generation of AI-driven insights. Faced with the challenge of quickly scaling their games and capabilities, Keewano can help with these growing pains.
“The new, younger people are driving the most revenue,” he continued. “But even if we are talking about 35 or 40-year-old players, they also expect much more from the mobile games. They forgot that it's just their mobile device and they expect it to be on the console level. This is the first time that we actually can give them that quality of what they're expecting. So now they want with this quality, they want everything full experience, full immersion.”
