20 Israeli climatech companies selected for UN COP29 in Baku
The companies will represent Israel at this year’s climate conference in Azerbaijan.
The Israeli Innovation Authority has announced that 20 Israeli climatech companies will be featured at next month’s COP29 Climate Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan. The companies were selected by the Authority with the help of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, and the Israel Export Institute, and represent sectors including renewable energy, water, advanced agriculture, green construction, smart transportation, environment, recycling, and carbon dioxide removal. Each one will be presenting solutions that aim to combat the global climate crisis.
"Israel's participation in COP29 underscores our commitment to promoting groundbreaking technological solutions for addressing climate challenges,” said Dror Bin, CEO of the Israel Innovation Authority. “Israeli companies are at the forefront of global technology, helping humanity and the global economy confront climate change through innovative solutions. Even in climate tech, Israel is one of the world’s leading innovation hubs.”
Each company will showcase its solutions at the Israeli pavilion in the BLUE ZONE, the event’s main hub. The technologies that will be presented were chosen as a way to demonstrate the impact of Israeli innovation on the global climate community.
