Anecdotes raises $30M in Series B extension amid rising global compliance demands

The Israeli GRC platform simplifies regulatory headaches for tech, finance, and healthcare firms.

Israeli startup Anecdotes has raised an additional $30 million in a funding round led by the German investment firm DTCP. The company is developing a platform that helps organizations meet regulatory requirements in the cybersecurity field—a sector that is heating up due to increased reporting demands and the emergence of new regulations surrounding artificial intelligence.
This latest investment is an extension of Anecdotes’ Series B round, in which it raised $25 million about a year ago, bringing the total for the round to $55 million. Since its founding in 2020, Anecdotes has raised $85 million in total. The initial part of the Series B round was led by Glilot Capital, with participation from Israeli funds Vertex Ventures and Red Dot Capital.

Anecdotes was founded by CEO Yair Kuznitsov and CPO Roi Amior, both alumni of the IDF’s elite 8200 intelligence unit. The company employs around 100 people, most of whom are based in its Tel Aviv offices. According to Kuznitsov, DTCP also participated in the earlier part of the round, albeit with a relatively small investment, and set a number of goals and milestones for the company to achieve within a year. After Anecdotes met all of these conditions, DTCP significantly increased its investment.
Anecdotes operates in the GRC (governance, risk management, and compliance) market, which is currently at a pivotal moment. The regulatory landscape is becoming increasingly complex, with evolving AI-related legislation and growing cyber threats. This has placed mounting pressure on organizations to ensure that their GRC systems are effective and audit-ready at all times. However, traditional GRC solutions—often built for a different era—still rely heavily on manual processes, such as sending screenshots to auditors, making it difficult for organizations to keep pace.
Anecdotes’ platform integrates with existing enterprise systems to automatically collect the data needed for GRC compliance, streamlining processes and making them more transparent and reliable. The company primarily serves three sectors: technology, financial services, and healthcare. It goes to market through partnerships with major consulting and accounting firms, as well as software providers like ServiceNow.
Among its current clients are companies such as Snowflake, SoFi, and Well Health.
