Ifty Kerzner: "My life was not a picnic. It's been hard for me since I was born."
In a conversation with Noa Eshed and Ronen Menipaz on the podcast Real Life Superpowers, Kissterra co-founder and executive director Ifty Kerzner discusses the challenges he overcame in life
"Go get it guys. Go freakin get it," said Ifty Kerzner on the Real Life Superpowers podcast. "I mean, life sucks. And it's hard. And it’s going to be difficult, though. People are gonna tell you how 1001 things and believe me, believe me, I have not had kind of a picnic. My life was not a picnic. It's been hard for me since I was born. Just because I know. And I understand and I look and somebody that observes life is always going to have conflicts. But go get it. Forget about everything. Kick-Ass. And let's do it."
In this episode, Ronen and Noa speak with Ifty Kerzner.
He׳s first and foremost a creator. He was a fairly known singer, and composer in Israel, with several successful hits, a tv host, and a journalist.
But he wasn’t satisfied.
So he realigned his goals and pivoted.
He co-founded Kissterra - a startup that helps insurance companies increase profitability through artificial intelligence. They’ve raised a $76M Series A (and had refused an offer to sell for $40M).
Listening to him made the hosts wonder how much charisma and the ability to hold a strong stage presence, can be an advantage in entrepreneurship.
They discuss:
- The difference between competence and arrogance
- The effect of parenthood on his self-confidence
- How pain fuels his life
- The power of strong partnerships
- Going to therapy with your business partner
- Intuition and emotion
- And much more
Here’s his story.
Noa Eshed: recognized as a thought leader by the Daily Telegraph. Her book "The Smart Marketer's Guide to Google Adwords” was an Amazon no.1 bestseller. Her digital marketing agency Bold Digital Architects has acclaimed several industry awards. She previously co-founded and distributed Israel’s only national magazine for students, and is a certified lawyer (Hebrew U grad) and journalist.
Ronen Menipaz: an Israeli investor, entrepreneur, tech advisor, and founder of numerous business ventures in the entertainment, adtech, and fintech space. During his 25 years of entrepreneurial experience, Ronen has been involved with over 100 startups in Israel, 30 of which he founded or co-founded. Two of those startups went public, while five were sold and four more are currently privately profitable companies.
