"Entrepreneurs showcase the best attributes of Israel"

About 200 companies submitted applications for Calcalist and Poalim Tech's RoadShow+ event, of which 18 startups were selected to present their pitch to senior investors from the leading funds in Israel.

The RoadShow+ event, taking place next week for the fourth year in a row, is designed for entrepreneurs in stages ranging from Pre-Seed to Series A. It provides a platform for them to showcase their ventures to the country’s leading investors. This year, approximately 200 companies submitted applications, and 18 were selected to present their pitches on the day of the event. These include companies in the cyber, edtech, and fintech sectors.
The tech industry, currently facing challenges due to the ongoing war and governmental instability, is finding it even harder to secure funding. The RoadShow+ event offers entrepreneurs a crucial opportunity to connect with prominent investors.
"When I talk about the people in high-tech in Israel, I find myself repeatedly using the word 'ambassadors,'" said Michal Kissos Hertzog, CEO of Poalim Tech. "They come up with ideas, develop them into potential realities, and then engage with stakeholders and investors worldwide. They are true ambassadors, promoting our best attributes—our constructive and innovative spirit aimed at improving and building a worthy future. Like all of us, they wake up every morning to the troubling news and unsettling realities yet strive to maintain optimism.

"This ambassadorial status is not something they chose; it is a result of their activities. It is certainly not easy to be a high-tech entrepreneur in Israel these days—it would be far easier to do so elsewhere. Yet, they embrace this role. Everyone participating in RoadShow+ this year, whether investors or startups, performs a significant service for this country. I draw my strength and optimism from such people every day. I commend your efforts and wish everyone success."
