“The renovation industry is far behind when it comes to technology, ” Homaze CEO Inbal Glantser told CTech at PropTech Tel Aviv. "We enable renovators to work with customers based on data and not just experience"
As a graduate of the IDF's 8200 Intelligence Corps unit, Homaze CEO Inbal Glantser's background is in technology. But her hobby is renovating homes.
"After renovating about 20 apartments, I understood that it simply can't be that the renovation industry is so far behind when it comes to technology, with so many contractors still working manually," she told CTech. "At Homaze we set out to solve this problem by enabling renovators to work with customers based on data and not just experience. This is why we called our company Homaze, because we are helping navigate the maze of home renovation and remodeling."
Homaze is an innovative solution for general contractors and remodelers that offers data-driven, real-time information to create customized accurate estimates on-site.
Speaking about the market in general, Glantser said, "Even though people aren't buying houses now, there is a great increase in the amount of home renovations. During the pandemic, when people were stuck at home, they undertook more home renovation projects. Because people are working from home more now they want a better home office and because they are at home more and cooking more often they want a better kitchen, so they remodel."
When asked what the future holds for Israel's proptech industy she said, "It's going to be like it was with cyber. Proptech will be the next industry in focus."
