Dentsu Scouting for Israeli Investments and Collaborations
The Japanese advertising company has established a local division in Israel to facilitate local relations
Japanese advertising and public relation corporation Dentsu Inc. is scouting Israeli startups for investment and collaboration opportunities, according to an announcement made Monday by Optimove, an Israeli data-based marketing company incorporated as Mobius Solutions Ltd. As part of the announcement, Optimove also revealed a new partnership signed with Dentsu ahead of Optimove's entrance into Asia, which will enable Dentsu to make use of the Israeli company's online marketing tools.

To support Dentsu's operations in Israel, the company set up a new division called the solution intelligence center, headed by Masakazu Takamori. Masakazu will visit Israel in June as a guest of Optimove and meet with local advertising and marketing startups and entrepreneurs, according to the announcement, This is not the first time Dentsu has been interested in Israeli technology: in 2015, Dentsu acquired Israeli digital performance marketing agency abaGada Internet Ltd.
Optimove is currently in the process of opening offices in Singapore, which will serve as the basis for its Asian operations. The company has already started working with both local and western brands in India, Singapore, and Japan, it said. To support its expansion, Optimove intends to recruit 60 additional employees in Israel in the upcoming year, after adding 80 new people over the past year. Founded in 2009 by CEO Pini Yakuel, the company currently employs over 200 people in Tel Aviv research and development center and in offices in London, New York, and Singapore.
