“80% of cyberattacks were new unknown threats”
Deep Instinct CTO Nadav Maman said we are approaching a time where “humans alone will not be able to deal with the size of information and amount of complexity and attacks staged”

“People are talking about cyberattacks and what is happening, but if you look at the numbers, you can see that 80% of the attacks were new unknown threats,” said Nadav Maman, co-founder and CTO of Deep Instinct at last week’s Mind the Tech NY 2021 conference. “That is not something we faced before, it is not something we could forecast, or prepare ourselves to,” he added
“Only 12% of ransomware attacks were prevented, in the past year,” Maman continued, saying that “when asking organizations, 63% will tell you that the biggest challenge when facing cyber attacks in an early stage is the time that it takes to detect an attack.”

“The attack landscape is evolving dramatically, the attacks today are becoming much more complex, and involve lots of tools and capabilities and we are exceeding a phase in which humans alone will not be able to deal with the size of information and amount of complexity and attacks staged,” he explained.
